The power of thought
{It's early days for BCI, but already the US military is investing millions through the defense procurement agency DARPA in similar projects. And, while the idea of targeting enemy combatants or controlling battlefield robots by thought alone may still be the stuff of science fiction, Dr James is already experimenting with a motorized wheelchair that could be steered by the power of the occupant's mind.}
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/today/tomfeilden/2009/10/the_power_of_thought.html
-
{The programme is being funded by Darpa, the US military's research arm.
Earlier this year, Sandia National Laboratories awarded the contract to build the next generation of the hopper to Massachusetts-based robotics firm Boston Dynamics.}

http://www.bostondynamics.com/bd_about.html

While Boston Dynamics has a real connection to DARPA, Massive_Dynamic is just connected to the FRINGE+TV+Series.

Of course in the real world, sometimes fact & fiction can overlap or intersect.

http://www.massivedynamic.com

{Fringe is an American science fiction television series co-created by J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The series follows an FBI Fringe Division team based in Boston, Massachusetts under the supervision of Homeland Security. The team uses unorthodox "fringe" science and FBI investigative techniques to investigate "the Pattern", a series of unexplained, often ghastly occurrences which are occurring all over the world. The show has been described as a cross between The X-Files and Altered States, The Twilight Zone, and Dark Angel.[1][2]}

DARPA's, Remote controlled bugs project
{A Pentagon-sponsored project to control flying insects remotely has sent ripples of excitement across the scientific pond.
Part insect, part machine, the "cyborg beetle" has been tested successfully by its developers at the University of California, Berkeley.}

An interesting Carl Sagan stone marker that looks like a leaf & a reptilian hand.

The lizards, iguana & gecko are among several life forms with reptilian or tetrapod like hands. The_Dragons_of_Eden by Carl_Sagan (1977) The stone dedicated to Carl Sagan is in the Celebrity Path of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Instead of a human hand, it has a 5 sided leaf that looks more like a reptilian hand than a 5 fingered hand. Are humans an offshoot from apes or just a parallel mammalian development? Humans have a reptilian section in the brain. So does that mean humans are also part reptile? Perhaps no more than primates. Whether humans are a separate parallel creation or an offshoot of reptilians & primates, several questions remain officially unanswered throughout history. Life and Consciousness in the Universe

This Cosmic_Tree depiction features a big disc plane within a sphere.

The cosmos may have one key axis or a series of them on several levels & wave lengths. Thus, even the concept of a Meru may not be the total apex. From the sprawling Angkor_Wat complex, to the Abraj_Al_Bait_Towers, several things are built with a religious or mystical connection. The Big_Bang theory implies that the whole recipe or Cosmic program for the universe stems from an original gravitational_singularity of data. It just might not be possible to have any universe without Fractals & strings attached.
-
The Singularity Project from Microsoft has some interesting implications.
{In The Fourth Paradigm: Data-Intensive Scientific Discovery, the collection of essays expands on the vision of pioneering computer scientist Jim Gray for a new, fourth paradigm of discovery based on data-intensive science and offers insights into how it can be fully realized.}
{Praise for The Fourth Paradigm
“The impact of Jim Gray’s thinking is continuing to get people to think in a new way about how data and software are redefining what it means to do science."
— Bill Gates, Chairman, Microsoft Corporation}

There are many answers blowing in the wind. As the Internet continues to expand, more data becomes available to the common folk. More & more people want to ask the big questions. Does consciousness live only once in a human body? Or does it experience life in several bodies on several worlds? How are various power structures set up & maintained? Its a Brave New World in an ancient universe that's full of riddles & clues.

The Holoverse, The Cryptoverse and The Desert of The Real

Michael Talbot helped to establish the concept of The Holographic Universe or (Holoverse). That is, all the things within & beyond the physical level of the universe & matter & how consciousness interacts with it.
Holographic Universe: Part Two: The Cosmos as Hologram
http://www.librarything.com/work/2010701
From the perspective of several scientists, humans are just the evolutionary result of matter & energy, biology & chemistry. There is structure & tremendous organization to produce repetition & evolution. Thus in effect, nature, the earth & the universe seem to have an interconnected operating_system. The scientific version of the Big_Bang_theory is that some how, all this cosmic information & pattern structures originated from a single point. Religious_interpretations of the_Big_Bang_theory. Some how it all started, whether from a creator or a complex form of chance from a mysterious point of origin.
-
Michael Talbot died in 1992 at the age of 38, by early 2008 Jim Elvidge was able to take this reality research to another fascinating level with a cool book & web site, etc. The programmed-reality concept is both simple & difficult to grasp.
-
At age 34 in 2009, Mac Tonnies died even at a younger age than Michael Talbot.

One can only imagine as to what Mac Tonnies would have done next after writing, The Cryptoterrestrials.

From doctoresoterica.blogspot.com
"It is unfortunate that Mac Tonnies did not live long enough to author a book that would have explored his musings on the paranormal within the context of a computer-simulation cosmos." http://doctoresoterica.blogspot.com/2010/02/mac-tonnies-appreciation.html

And of course radiomisterioso.com provided some kind acknowledgment.

http://radiomisterioso.com/2011/10/24/mac-tonnies-two-years-gone

THE TRAGEDY OF WHAT COULD BE
Mac Tonnies like Michael_Talbot, should have had several more decades to write about the good stuff.

Another nice tribute to Mac is at forteania.blogspot.com with some of his interview links.

http://forteania.blogspot.com/2011/10/mac-tonnies.html

{According to some believers, Nostradamus foresaw the city of New York and the attack that destroyed the World Trade Center towers. In several quatrains, he describes "the_new_city," often suggesting an attack on it. He also refers to "hollow mountains," which many believe to indicate skyscrapers.}
