Interesting how a 1956 movie depicts future human interstellar travel with disc craft technology. Think of this level of disc craft as being at the SR-71_Blackbird to the B-2_Spirit stage. So the 1956 movie, Forbidden_Planet depicts interstellar disc craft physics technology. However, the movie doesn't reveal how humans acquired such technology. AVRO started developing basic disc vehicle technology in the 1950s.

If a robots exterior is damaged, it might not be able to get back to the shop to be repaired.
