Several religions can make a good argument about requiring money from their supporters or followers. However, the pursuit of knowledge & acquiring a greater perspective of reality shouldn't necessarily require paying out a lot of money & being limited to just one official POV.

There are so many belief systems, many people feel that they must adhere to just one & ignore the rest. While several discard any version of reality & consciousness as being part of an intelligent design. Skepticism can also become another belief system if it remains too closed or limited to exploring new & ancient data & modern concepts. Thus having an open mind doesn't filter out enough data & being too skeptical filters out too much. A combination of both perspectives allows for a lot more data & ideas to be explored but not necessarily all believed.

A lot of people still don't realize that Charles Manson had a connection to the #911. This guy couldn't have a fun time without causing harm to others.
