The San Remo_building & its twin_towers were built a block north of The_Dakota. Architect Emery_Roth sure liked to design twin towers in NYC. Eventually Roth's 2 sons became part of the design team for Manhattan's tallest twin towers.

The Majestic & its twin towers were built immediately south of the Dakota as well.
