Artificial+Intelligence+and+Cybernetics have been part of Sci-Fi for quite a while.
The Cyborg from Mars or, The_Man_from_Mars (1946) has such a fascinating premise of a crashed ET being with a variation of an exoskeleton. Such an impressive cybernetic story, especially for the time that it was written.
