UFO had become associated with some type of unknown vehicle or craft in the sky, hovering, landing or taking off. USOs became associated with some kind of vehicle going into the water or going far above it.
Where as UAP could still refer to some mysterious vehicle, but also some other kinds of atmospheric phenomena. However, its all about UFOs in general. Even if most cases could easily be dismissed, a small percentage looks too much like some type of vehicle.
