How would the powers that be start to inform the general public that this world might be one of several advanced civilization in the universe?
Aside from all the myths and legends going back into ancient times, informing the public that some others might have had very advanced technology a very long time ago, can be challenging. That's because other civilizations could be so much older, would still be quite unsettling for some people to fathom.
