Thus, science & religion don't want most people to seriously consider that intelligent life could exist throughout the cosmos. Indeed, some life forms & entities could be deceptive & malevolent towards humans. However, most humans aren't malevolent, just quarantined to earth. So why would life in various parts of the universe all be malevolent? Earth & the universe at large, isn't just full of monsters. There could be benevolent beings throughout the cosmos.
