Questioning reality from various perspectives can possibly lead to a larger POV or one may choose to remain ignorant & arrogant. Where you live, what you see & perceive can be an individual & mutual experience. More & more people want to, or have to live in cities for various reasons. People experience various things from living in an urban region to experiencing life in a desert area. An Oasis like Huacachina or the Palm_Valley, Finke_Gorge_National_Park & the MacDonnell_Ranges, Australia can certainly provide a set of particular experiences. A generally flat area of water & vegetation seems to be a common setting for an oasis. However, hills & especially mountains can also represent a kind of oasis. A regular sheltered Valley or the mythical Shangri-La amongst some mountains. The closer a Valley is to the equator usually means that it will be warmer place. The Fraser_Valley is usually one of the most mild places in Canada during the winter. The Willamette_Valley in Oregon has colder winters than the Santa_Clara & San_Fernando_Valley. Although Death_Valley can get cold through the winter, its mostly hot through the rest of the year & remains mostly unpopulated. In contrast, the Las_Vegas_Valley continues to be a growing metropolitan area. Metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona has about twice the population of the Las Vegas area but with much smaller buildings. The world's_largest_cities usually have metropolitan_areas that extend far beyond their city limits. All these governments & corporations have to work together, but corporations aren't limited to a 4 year term on one continent or global region.

Starbucks as well as several other businesses like to occasionally form a partnership. Smaller companies can be at risk of being bought out or absorbed by corporations. Corporations see an advantage in expanding into other cities & ultimately intercontinental expansion. Whether its Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Pepsi or Diageo , the bigger the better.
